Ajax Eye Arsenal’s Zinchenko Amid January Transfer Speculation
Arsenal’s January transfer window has been marked by fresh rumours, with reports linking Oleksandr Zinchenko to a potential move to Ajax as the Dutch side look to strengthen their squad before the deadline.
The Ukrainian international, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022, has struggled for consistent game time this season. A brief loan spell at Nottingham Forest also failed to provide him with regular opportunities, highlighting that he is not part of Arsenal’s long-term plans. With his contract set to expire this summer, Ajax have emerged as a likely destination.
Initially, a loan deal was thought to be on the cards, but negotiations now appear to be leaning towards a permanent transfer. The Eredivisie club are keen to offer Zinchenko regular football while reinforcing their defensive options for the remainder of the season.
